Recently, my wife and I decided to take the plunge into home ownership. Three weeks in and we're still not completely unpacked because we're waiting on funds to buy a storage building. What does this mean in the realm of art?

Absolutely nothing. Well, except that the most recent artistic endeavors I've undertaken have been in support of my new (awesome) house. On Saturday, I painted the front door navy blue and now I'm working on painting my wooden front porch a clean white. The front yard and its various shrubs and trees are also under my charge.

Landscaping and exterior design isn't a medium I've visited before, but I believe I have a knack for spacial relationships...or just putting things in an aesthetically pleasing arrangement. While it may not be realistic portraiture or illustration, it's what I'm pleased to be working on right now. Pictures of my piece of Americana coming soon.
